Poul Henningsen
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen as the son of the famous Danish actress Agnes Henningsen. He did not graduate as an architect, but studied from 1911-1914 at the Technical School Frederiksberg and then from 1914-17 at the Technical College in Copenhagen. He also began to use traditional functionalist architecture. However, his professional interest soon focused mainly on lighting design - and that is what he is famous for.
