Artek
The Artek collection consists of furniture, lighting and accessories designed by Finnish masters and leading international designers. Artek was founded in Helsinki in 1935 by Alvar and Aino Aalto, among others, and is still an innovative player in the world of modern design today. The name comes from "art" and "technology" - terms that shaped modern furniture design in the 1920s.
Artek stands for clarity, functionality and Nordic simplicity and the furniture collection includes world-famous design classics by Alvar Aalto, Ilmari Tapiovaara and other renowned designers that capture the spirit of the times then and now.
