Nikari Akademia Chair

The light Linea Akademia chair is a discreet and elegant dining room chair or side chair. The chair was designed by Wesley Walters and Salla Luhtasela in 2019. As the name suggests, the Akademia was the result of Wesley Walter's master's thesis at Aalto University, Helsinki. The young designer and his partner in the design duo Kaksikko were inspired by the Finnish heritage of chair making, the simplicity of the shaker and Japanese minimalism. The Akademia chair blends stylishly into any interior.

The chair is characterised by soft forms and clear lines, with both the backrest and the seat slightly curved to offer more comfort. Linea Akademia is made of oak and has a natural wood oil mixture on the surface and is also available stained black.
