Sarpaneeva cast iron pot

Iittala Sarpaneva cooking pot is a design classic with its stylish aesthetics, Finnish tradition and function. But the pot has a lot of practical uses that facilitate not only cooking but also serving. So you can use the beautiful, timeless, Scandinavian designed pan safely on the table to serve food. The cooking pot was designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1960 for the Finnish manufacturer Iittala. The pot and the lid are made of robust cast iron, the interior is enamelled. A wonderful detail is the detachable wooden handle which you can use in addition to the two large handles to carry the pot or remove the lid. Timo Sarpaneva had the inspiration for the pot from his childhood while he was often near the fire and molten metal. The Sarpaneva cooking pot is suitable for gas, glass ceramic, halogen and induction cookers. However, it should not be placed in the dishwasher and not be cleaned with steel sponges. The pot can be carried with oven gloves.
