Yngve Ekström

The Swedish designer Yngve Ekström (1913-1988) discovered early his talent for carpentry and his experience with wooden material taught him how to manufacture furniture. Yngve Ekström, together with his colleagues Aalto, Jacobsen and Kjaerholm, contributed to the trends of design in the post-war period, which made modern Scandinavian design famous. The creative style of Ekström is nice, simple and convenient and people love it. His Lamino armchair for Swedese was chosen as the Swedish furniture of the 20th century. Yngve Ekström furniture belongs to the collections of many major design museums of the world, e.g. the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
