Lyfa Mosaik Floor Lamp White - Exhibit

The Nordic design of the mosaic lamp from the Danish manufacturer Lyfa is characterized by a classic, conical lampshade. The light source is carefully integrated into the geometric shape of the lamp and a decorative beam of light escapes through the opening at the top, illuminating the brass tube.

Designed by Bent Karlby in 1959, the simple, clean-lined Mosaic collection is a sophisticated lighting system based on a simple, geometric construction principle. Various lamp designs can be created with the simple, cone-shaped lampshade and brass tubes. The timeless, simple floor lamp from Lyfa fits into a wide variety of environments and is available in two colors.

Bent Karlby is now considered one of the most prolific and versatile Danish lighting designers of the 20th century. In the 1940s he began working with the Danish manufacturer Lyfa, a partnership that would last almost four decades. Bent Karlby is known for his soft light, organic shapes and distinctive peepholes. Over time, Karlby created more geometric shapes, such as cones, cylinders and arches.
