Desirée chair

The Desirée chair works just as well outdoors as well as indoors. The Swede Yngve Ekström designed the chair in 1954 for Swedes. Compared to his otherwise rather clean-line and simple furniture designs, the Desirée chair is not typical of Ekström. As the name of the chair implies, Ekström was influenced in the design of the Desirée chair with its round and curved shapes by wishes, desires and romance as a whole.

The Desirée chair is made of white painted steel and comes with either a light or dark cushion of 100% cotton. There is also the Desirée table which can be ordered in different sizes to go with the chair.

Yngve Ekström is one of the most famous Swedish designers and has designed several pieces of furniture for the well-known Swedish manufacturer Swedese. His most famous design is the design of the Lamino chair which is also produced by Swedese.
