Terms and conditions of HELSINKI DESIGN - Nordic Lifestyle GmbH.

Your suppliers and contractors

Your sole contractor is Nordic Lifestyle GmbH, based in Zurich. By placing your order, you accept all of the general terms and conditions which apply exclusively. Any other terms and conditions are not accepted by Nordic Lifestyle GmbH. In case of doubt, only the German version is legally binding.

Offers and prices

All offers are subject to change. The final prices excluding shipping costs are automatically calculated and displayed for orders within Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein and are in Swiss francs including the current level of Swiss VAT. Nordic Lifestyle GmbH reserves the right to change prices at any time. Errors reserved. The prices are subject to typing and programming errors. Offers and prices are subject to change as well as subject to prior sale.

We guarantee the authenticity and quality of every product. We also strive to offer you fair prices. If, however, you find products from other shops that are offered at a lower price at the time of purchase/order for the same service, please let us know and we will be happy to re-check our offer.

For orders from abroad (not Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein), the amount of VAT depends on the country. The customer is required to take care of and pay all applicable import fees, import duties and taxes. 

Payment

You can pay by cash in advance, PostFinance E-Finance , MasterCard , MasterCard SecureCode, Visa, pay Verified by Visa or Twint.

Advance payment via Online banking 

After completing your order you will receive an email with an order confirmation and account details of the Nordic Lifestyle GmbH. The invoiceamount is due immediately upon receipt of the order confirmation. If we have noreceived payment within 7 days the order will be cancelled automatically. As soon as you have paid the bill and payment is credited to our account, the goods will be ordered and shipped from our warehouse.

Post Finance E-Finance

You can charge your postal account directly with the payable amount. In order to pay you need the E-Finance security components. After you have selected your items and placed them in your virtual shopping cart, complete the payment screen of PostFinance and wait for the confirmation. The invoice amount will be debited free of charge from your postal account. For more information about PostFinance please visit: www.postfinance.ch.

Payment with credit card

Payment by credit card takes place via an SSL 128 bit encryption. Your order will be forwarded to the PostFinance interface. There you enter your credit card details so that a connection is made to the card issuer. Our online store uses the 3D Secure procedures ("MasterCard SecureCode" for MasterCard and "Verified by Visa" for VISA, hereafter referred to as 3D Secure) for credit card payments. The security of online payments is increased by adding a 3D Secure PIN and thus you are additionally protected from credit card fraud.

If you have not registered your credit card for the 3D Secure procedures, you can easily do so in just a few steps. Registration is possible via the card-issuing bank’s website during checkout. 

How does payment with 3-D Secure work?

In any commercial online shop which offers the 3-D Secure service, a window opens during checkout in which you must enter your predefined 3-D Secure Password. One of your chosen security questions ensures that the password check is actually carried out by the card-issuing bank.

How can I register for 3-D Secure ?

Simply follow the links on the right hand side to register for 3-D Secure.  Please note that an authentication is necessary for a new login. Keep your most recent invoice at hand.

Possible applications 

Many online shops use 3-D Secure. You can recognize if they use 3-D Secure by the display of the two logos "Verified by Visa " and "MasterCard SecureCode". If not displayed, the payment process is carried out as before.

Payment via invoice (Klarna)

Pay your online purchases simply after receiving the order by invoice. With our partner Klarna you have 30 days from the invoice date to pay the invoice. The invoice will be sent by e-mail. You can pay the invoice via ISR+ with reference number or normally via online banking. Please check your email inbox to find our payment instruction. Also check your spam folder in case you do not find the email in your inbox. If you did not receive the email, please contact us.

You have up to 30 days to pay the invoice. If we do not receive the payment in time, the commercial reminder process will be initiated. Only after the multi-stage dunning process has been completed will the debt be diverted to a collection agency. For refunds, send your bank details to zahlungen@billpay.de and ask for a refund in case the order has been cancelled and you have already paid. We need the account holder, IBAN and BIC for this. Please also mention the order number and personal data for identification. Once the invoice has been adjusted, the refund will be initiated automatically. The amount will be credited to your account within five to ten banking days.

Good to know: If the order has not been cancelled yet, please contact us and follow our cancellation policy.

Redeem a voucher

If you want to redeem a voucher you must enter the voucher code at the checkout. As soon as you place an article into the shopping cart, the field discount code appears. You have to enter or copy the voucher code in this field. The price is automatically deducted from the total price. Please note that vouchers cannot be cumulated with other promotions and only one voucher can be redeemed per purchase online. However, you can redeem several vouchers for one purchase in our shop in Zurich.

Shipping and Delivery costs

We deliver to Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. In special cases we deliver freight forwarding goods to individual EU countries, whereby separate shipping and payment conditions apply. In this case, please contact us by e-mail.  

Parcel deliveries

Parcel shipments are delivered unannounced between Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm. As a rule, the stock goods are delivered within 2-4 working days. Goods ordered for you will be shipped as soon as we receive them. You will receive an e-mail or text message in advance. Please contact the parcel service provider if you want a different date for delivery or change the delivery address. For orders under 200 francs we charge a shipping and packaging fee of 15 francs. 

Please note that we do not deliver to pickpost locations. 

You are also welcome to collect your orders (small furniture and accessories) free of charge from our shop in Zurich Schiffbaustrasse 7. Large items can be collected from our warehouse in Zurich by appointment. If in stock, the goods are usually ready on the next working day after receipt of payment. However, you will be informed as soon as the goods are ready for collection. Please note our opening hours. In case of collection by the customer, the goods must be collected within three weeks after receipt of this notification. 

Forwarding consignments

In the case of forwarding shipments, you will be contacted before the delivery for an appointment. For forwarding goods we offer the following delivery options. Different conditions apply to projects.

Standard: 

Free delivery to curbside for orders above 100 CHF. Delivery during the day between 8 am  to 6 pm. Delivery on a pre-arranged day. In this case, you are responsible for transporting the goods from the place of unloading to the place of use. Please check the packages (the number and any possible transport damage) immediately upon receipt of the delivery and have the driver confirm this in writing

Comfort: 

Delivery with 2 persons to the point of use exclusive disposal of packaging material: CHF 119. Shipping notification in advance on a pre-arranged day.

Comfort Plus:

Delivery to the point of use with 2 persons including disposal of the packaging material: CHF 149. Shipping notification in advance on a pre-arranged day.

Premium:

Delivery with 2 persons to the point of use including disposal of the packaging material, including assembly / construction: 239 CHF (this does not apply to string shelves. For these, the price is calculated individually). Shipping notification in advance on a pre-arranged day.

Prerequisites for floor deliveries with elevator according to max. permitted weight of the elevator. Prerequisites for floor deliveries without elevator are sufficient staircase quality (rollable ground and sufficient load capacity) and clearance gauge. If delivery to the place of use is not possible, we reserve the right to cancel the delivery. The costs of delivery will still be charged in this case. To avoid this, please inform us about the circumstances before delivery.  

For deliveries to border/mountain regions, car-free zones (i.e. Zermatt or Saas Fee)) or hard-to-reach buildings, the actual costs will be charged additionally.

Delivery on a specific fixed date within a time window is possible for an additional fee. Please contact us if interested.

We can also take your old piece of furniture with us and dispose of it. This is only possible in conjunction with simultaneous delivery and to the same extent, i.e. return 1:1. The costs for this are CHF 80. Please note that the goods must be disassembled and ready for pickup. If additional disassembly is required, the cost will be invoiced according to the direct charge.

Delivery time

You will normally receive your order in one delivery until all items are available. However, delivery can also be in partial shipments if the items are packed separately and need to be shipped separately. In this case we will bear the additional costs. In all other cases, a partial delivery will be charged to you.

You are obliged to accept the shipment. If a shipment turns out to be undeliverable and the carrier returns the goods to us, we reserve the right to demand reimbursement of the shipping costs incurred for the first shipment and any storage costs incurred.

The delivery times for available items in stock are approx. 2-4 working days after receipt of payment. The goods in stock are marked with these delivery times. Articles, which must be ordered, are usually delivered within 2-10 weeks. The indicated delivery times are for orientation only and are non-binding. Please note that before and over the holidays (especially Christmas and New Year holidays or summer holidays) there may be extended delivery times. In no case do delivery delays justify claims for damages or a right to withdraw from the contract.   

Mounting Lamps

For a mounting of lamps please contact us via e-mail. In the Zurich area we can recommend an electrician with a recommended price. In this case we establish the contact, the handling and accounting takes place directly between the electrician and customer.

Retention of title 

The delivered goods belong to Nordic Lifestyle GmbH until full payment is received. There is no right of appeal. In case of accidentally wrongly delivered goods, the customer is not allowed to keep the goods.

Complaints

Any complaints must be reported immediately after arrival of the goods and are only admissible as long as the goods are still in the shipping package, so that we can properly check the justification of the complaints. In the event of transport damage (obvious damage to the packaging) or missing items (check the number of packages), please inform the transport company immediately in writing (on the acceptance protocol) and contact us via e-mail including photos, so that we can protect any rights against the transport company. 

You can return the goods undamaged and unused in the original packaging within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. The packaging or seals/labels must not have been cut or broken. Please inform us in writing via email. Used and damaged goods as well as reduced items are excluded from return and exchange. Also excluded from return and exchange are products in larger quantities (more than one piece), articles of daily use as well as products manufactured or assembled according to the customer's wishes (e.g. sofas and upholstered furniture) or made-to-order products. Also excluded from return and exchange are orders from business customers.

In the case of returns, the return shipment is at the expense and risk of the customer. When returning items, please make sure that the goods are sufficiently securely packed and shipped in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the contracted transport company or the postal service. Please send returns of parcel shipments to Nordic Lifestyle GmbH/Helsinki Design. For returns of shipping goods, please contact us in advance. We will be happy to initiate a pick-up order for a fee if processing through our partner is desired. In the case of cancellations, the costs incurred by us depending on the method of payment, such as fees from, for example, credit cards, Paypal, PostFinance or invoice payment, will be retained from the respective invoice amount. Likewise, we reserve the right to deduct compensation for possible damage or excessive wear and tear from the purchase price to be refunded. Also no shipping costs will be refunded, but only the paid purchase price of the goods. Nordic Lifestyle GmbH is entitled to withdraw from the contract if the goods to be delivered according to the contract are no longer available through our partner. In this case we will refund the already paid amount.

If you are not satisfied with the goods ordered, you can return the goods within 14 days of receipt undamaged and unused in original packaging. The package or seal/label must not be sliced or broken. Please inform us in writing via email. Used or damaged goods as well as reduced goods are excluded from change and return. The right to cancel is excluded for goods that are made-to-order, personalized or made according to individual customer demands (i.e. sofas and other upholstery furniture)  as well as articles in quantities (more than one). Orders from business customers are also excluded from return and exchange.

The return costs of parcels and goods delivered by freight are at the expense and risk of the customer. Please use suitable packaging providing adequate protection against potential transport damage according to the relevant guidelines and rules of the respectively transport company. Please return parcels to Nordic Lifestyle GmbH/Helsinki Design. For returns of oversized and heavy goods please contact us in advance via email or phone. If necessary, we can organize a pick-up against a fee. In case of cancellation of orders we refund the original invoice amount paid less all occurring costs from payment charges by credit cards, Paypal, PostFinance or invoices. We will not refund the forwarding expenses. We reserve the right to deduct possible compensation for losses or damage. Nordic Lifestyle GmbH is entitled to withdraw from the contract in cases where the goods to be delivered are no longer available by our partner. In this case we will refund the sum paid for the goods.

Guarantees

Your claims are limited to the manufacturer’s scope of warranty. The scope of your warranty and warranty claims with respect to the goods delivered by us is solely according to the manufacturer’s specific product documentation. Nordic Lifestyle GmbH releases all warranty claims against the manufacturer and passes them on in full to you. Should a delivery be incomplete, we will deliver the missing items as quickly as possible. 

Amendments 

Nordic Lifestyle GmbH is entitled to modify its terms and conditions by giving notice to the purchaser or publishing this on Helsinki Design’s homepage at any time.

Legal disclaimer

Should one or several provisions of thesGeneral Terms and Conditions become ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain unprejudiced. The invalid clause shall be replaced by law.

Data protection

The protection of your personal information is important to us. Your data will be protected in accordance with legal regulations. Please take note of the following points. 

Use of information: You can always visit our websites without having to provide information about yourself. Personal data is only collected if you provide this information voluntarily, such as in the form of a request or registration. This data will not be used without your expressed consent only for contract management and the processing of your requests. Only non-personal data such as your IP address, the last page visited, the browser used, date, time etc. are evaluated anonymously to improve our online services (Google Analytics). 

Forwarding of information: Your personal data information will not be sold or shared with third parties. We use this information only to respond to your inquiries, to process contracts - especially the transfer of order data to suppliers when necessary and for technical administration.

Web Analytics (Google Analytics): This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer, to help analyze how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties unless required by law or when such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, we point out that you may not be able to use all features of this website in this case. By using this site, you agree to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purposes set out above. 

Place of jurisdiction

All obligations are covered exclusively by Swiss law. The place of performance and court of jurisdiction is Zurich.
