Artek Kaari Desk

Developed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Artek, the new Kaari furniture by Artek is a great development of Artek traditions while at the same time a new departure. The Kaari desk is elegant and airy and fits with its clear and linear silhouette into any interior. As the name Kaari - Finnish for arch – suggests, the curved black steel arch is the base for different tabletops. This great desk can be combined with Kaari shelves which together provide a uniform and balanced overall picture in any office or study. The Kaari desktop is 150 x 65 x 75 cm. The table legs can be natural oak or stained black and the desk surface is optionally available in gloss HPL laminate (high pressure laminate) or linoleum. These surface materials absorb light differently and show signs of wear over time, but were deliberately chosen in order to give the table patina and personality. Thus Kaari has potential, like so many items of furniture, to be a design classic.
